WARP Solution (CEO Kyunghak Lee) challenges the CES 2027 Innovation Awards with radio frequency (RF) energy technology that supplies energy to electronic devices via radio waves without constraints of power wires or batteries.
RF energy technology transmits energy in the form of radio waves from a transmitter, which a receiver then converts into power usable by electronic devices. Using this, WARP Solution provides a new power supply method for sensors, industrial equipment, and robots where power wiring is difficult, or batteries require repeated replacements. CEO Kyunghak Lee leads the company as an RF energy specialist who developed antennas and RF-DC rectifier circuits, establishing WARP Solution based on experiences accumulated in mobile communication antennas and high-frequency circuit sectors. To date, he filed 68 patent applications and registered 35 patents in related fields—such as RF energy receiver semiconductors, antennas, rectifier circuits, and power amplifiers—while securing US FCC Part 18 certification.

Core technology is the GaN-based receiver semiconductor ‘WEP Series’, which converts energy transmitted via radio waves into direct current power. Designed by optimizing antennas and matching circuits for target products and operating frequencies, the WEP Series achieved an RF-DC conversion efficiency of over 60 percent under optimal conditions. In particular, WEP3 supports power conversion up to the 3W class based on a single IC, realizing high power with fewer components than conventional low-power receiver semiconductors. Through this, teams design smaller and simpler receiver modules, allowing broad applications ranging from small sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) devices to diverse industrial equipment.
WARP Solution develops not only receiver semiconductors but also power amplifiers (PA) that amplify and transmit RF energy, alongside ‘AI Tracking Beamforming’ technology that precisely steers radio beams based on AI. Combining transmitter and receiver antennas, rectifier circuits, and power management circuits with module design technologies, the company designs overall systems from RF energy transmission to reception and power conversion. Characteristically, moving beyond supplying semiconductors or general-purpose modules, the company analyzes client products’ power consumption, operating distance, installation space, mechanical structure, and surrounding environment to deliver optimized transmission and reception solutions tailored to target applications. Through this, the company aims to build RF energy infrastructure that supplies power across entire spaces beyond ‘device-unit charging’.
WARP Solution’s technology applies to fields where power wiring and battery maintenance prove challenging, such as smart factory sensors, electronic shelf labels (ESL), industrial IoT devices, logistics and security robots, semiconductor process sensors, and sensors embedded in architectural or civil structures. Business achievements continue as well. At CES 2026, WARP Solution signed multiple supply contracts domestically and internationally, strengthening sales performance. Domestically, the company conducts technology verification and empirical testing centered on smart factory sensors, electronic shelf labels, robots, semiconductor processes, and construction or infrastructure, supporting everything from prototype manufacturing to on-site verification. Overseas, the company reviews applicability and expands technology collaboration foundations centered on the US, Japan, and Canada, preparing the US and Japan in particular as priority entry markets. Currently, overseas operations progress through technology reviews, sample provisions, joint empirical testing, and local partner discovery rather than large-scale mass-production exports.

The product unveiled for CES 2027 is ‘Core:on’, an RF energy-based embedded sensor solution. Core:on is a sensor embedded inside concrete structures to measure condition information such as temperature, humidity, and vibration, operating by converting externally supplied RF energy into power. Usable for long periods even in environments where connecting power wires or replacing batteries after embedding proves difficult, it enables efficient inspection of internal conditions in buildings and civil infrastructure, improving the convenience of smart construction and infrastructure maintenance. Integrating an RF receiver, rectifier circuit, power management circuit, and composite sensors into a single package, the company verified sensor operation via RF energy reception and BLE-based data transmission capabilities even in constrained environments like internal cement.
Kyunghak Lee, CEO of WARP Solution, stated, “RF energy technology offers a new power supply method to devices where power wiring and battery replacement prove difficult.” He added, “By advancing charging into spatial infrastructure supplying power across entire spaces rather than device units, we will build a next-generation RF energy environment where electronic devices receive necessary energy free from wires and batteries, growing into a global RF energy solution enterprise.”
